Sophie is a Danish schoolteacher. She teaches English, history and arts in a high school in Esbjerg… if she doesn’t miss the tide on the island of Mandø, where she lives with her husband and two children. Sophie likes to think about the world and its people. But not too much, because that makes her head hurt. In spite of the apparent malicious stupidity of world leaders in really, really great countries (probably the greatest ever) in the world, Sophie will always maintain her believe in the kindness of people. When she is not teaching, she helps out in a charity shop that sells signposts to lost tourists on the island. In the summer she dresses up like a viking woman. In the evening she usually enjoys exotic fruitsalades and rosé wine. Her children’s novel, ‘Of Giants and Gingergnomes’, gained a certain popularity in Taiwan.
